GROUP & SERVER RULES
➤ Be kind and respectful to your fellow members and your staff team. If you disagree with a staff member’s decision, please message another member of staff or open a support ticket. Do not argue with a staff member in public chats.
➤ Homophobia, Transphobia, Racism, and Ableism are not allowed under any circumstances.
➤ Please do not use slurs, even if they are words that you personally can reclaim.
➤ You do not need to be a member of the group in order to participate in our server. All you need to do is post an introduction in order to be granted access.
➤ If you have an issue with somebody or something happening in the group, please let a staff member know. We have a help desk channel in our server as well as a support ticket system, but for more severe or personal grievances, please DM a staff member.
➤ Please ask before dming anyone without their permission.
➤ We have a strict age minimum of 18 for our members.
➤ A note on content- Even though this group is adults only, NSFW topics such as sexual content and heavy gore are not allowed within roleplays, group art, or ooc chats. There is some nuance here, as adult topics are a part of life- but they must be approached with respect and with maturity. Please see the expanded content guidelines below.
➤ Additionally, if somebody ever asks for a topic to be changed, dropped, or spoilered, you are expected to do so.
➤ Common roleplay courtesy is expected. Mutual consent for heavy subject matter and violence is expected. Sensitive subject matter (like violence or character death) must be prefaced with content warnings at the start of your post. Be sensible and patient with reminder pings and expectations, many of us are busy in our real lives.
➤ Any plots that may have an impact on the world, a clan or would result in serious consequences for any player character (including your own) must be discussed with staff before being implemented/started. Failure to do so may result in a strike and retconning of the relevant thread(s).
➤ Please also try to stay on topic within channels as much as possible, if a member of staff asks you to move to a different channel, please do so.

Sexual Topics, Jokes and Memes.
Drama from or about other groups.
Descriptive gore or violence.
➤ The following topics must be spoilered and prefaced with content warning:
Death of real animals.
Sensitive content related to your characters like addiction and cannibalism.
IRL drug use.
IC:
➤ The following content is strictly banned from IC roleplays and histories:
All sexual comments, including jokes and innuendos.
Graphic descriptions of gore/violence.
➤ The following content requires a cw at the beginning of each post they occur in as well as a cw thread tag if in forums.

Strike System and Punitive Action
Sageteppe utilizes a “three strike” system when it comes to rule violations, though staff members retain the right to ban at any time they deem necessary.
You will be notified through a ticket when you receive a strike and staff will be making a record of it. The first two strikes you receive may result in just a warning or temporary mute, depending on severity. A third strike almost always results in a ban.
If it has been at least 12 months since your last strike or strike waiver and you’ve shown no rule breaking behavior since, you may open a support ticket to ask for a strike waiver and to have your oldest strike removed from records.
As always, if you feel like a staff member's decision was unfair, you may DM an admin or open a support ticket.
